Hello Everyone,
I’m just delighted to have opened back up and I have to say a big thank you to all my clients for being so patient. I have been non-stop working these past two months travelling up and down the country with my three work cases and my vue shield, but it has been most definitely worth it. I just love seeing you all, and making you all feel good with the treatments I offer – which makes everyday a pleasure.
I am sure that many of us have had to self-isolate in this time – and I found myself having to self-isolate for 10 days after coming into contact with Covid. I had no symptoms which I am grateful for, however although I understand why isolation is necessary, it doest avert the fact that the experience is mind numbing; however, yoga was my saviour – and Netflix – and chocolate.
I am excited to share with you all two new treatments that I am now offering, with amazing benefits!
Profhilo
HOW DOES PROFHILO WORK?
HA is hydrophilic, meaning it draws and holds water from your body, so Profhilo acts as a hydrator rather than a filler. This makes it fantastic for those with tired, dull-looking skin, transforming it into firm and luminous skin. This effect takes place within 3-5 days of treatment.
Over the next few weeks collagen and elastin production is stimulated, producing a secondary effect of skin tightening. This is useful because levels of collagen, elastin and Hyaluronic Acid in the skin rapidly drop from the age of 30, resulting in signs of ageing such as fine lines, wrinkles and lacklustre skin. Profhilo acts to reverse some of these changes. The maximum effect of Profhilo is usually seen 2 months after the second treatment.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF PROFHILO?
Treatment with Profhilo improves skin tone, texture, hydration and overall radiance. It can help to increase firmness and elasticity and promote healthier and softer-looking skin. Profhilo is most commonly used for facial areas but can also be used to rejuvenate the neck, decollate, arms, knees and hands.
Microneedling
WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING?
Simply put, Microneedling is the insertion of very fine short needles into the skin for rejuvenation, explains Macrene. The most popular (and cost-effective) Microneedling device, known as a derma pen, comprises micro-fine needles that range in diameter from 0.5 and 2.5 millimetres. But, if the prospect of multiple needle wounds sounds slightly ominous to you, know that the punctures are more like pin-pricks that enter only surface-level deep.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
Microneedling works by encouraging your skin to make more collagen. The idea is that pinpricks from the procedure cause slight injury to the skin and that the skin responds by making new collagen-rich tissue.
This new skin tissue is, in turn, more even in tone and texture. It’s normal for the skin to lose collagen via age or injury. By encouraging the skin to make new tissue, there may be more collagen to help make the skin firmer, too.
